"The purpose of Psychotherapy is to set people free" Rollo May
Integrative Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is as unique as every individual; it is as complex as every individual. Integrative psychotherapy renounces the “one size fits all” approach, and integrates different perspectives like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic and Existential, and Psychoanalytical school of thought. The integrative therapist has a broad field of knowledge to draw upon which requires extensive training.
Integrative Psychotherapy also refers to unifying the emotional, behavioural, cognitive, physiological and spiritual dimensions of the person. A difficulty in any of these areas affects everything in the person’s life. Change and growth can occur when all these dimensions are taken into consideration. My approach is attending to the person as a whole, and building a strong therapeutic relationship with you that is central to the healing process.
Below are some of the areas where psychotherapy has been found to help.
- Stress/ Anxiety/ Panic attacks
- Anger Issues
- Low self esteem
- Depression
- Phobias
- Obsessive compulsive behaviour
- Eating disorders
- Relationship problems/Divorce
- Insomnia
- Bereavement and loss
